Topiary Punch Around the page
I really like Georgia Pacific white card stock paper, 110 lb. weight that I buy at Wal-Mart. I use it for all of my projects.
You will need to cut two 5” X 5” pieces of white card stock. I used Martha Stewart punch around the page punches (Topiary) you need to have the paper size cut correctly or the finished pattern will not work. I think any punch around the page style will work to make the stars.
Then cut two 3.25” X 3.25” colored card stock to make the top pattern.
(Follow directions below)
First punch the corners and then use the edge punch to connect the pattern from corner to corner using the guides on the tool’s wings. Do that on both white pieces of card stock. I scored the pattern in half, then rotated the paper and scored in half again. Then score at one corner to the other, and rotate paper and score again from corner to corner. (Look at picture; I drew black lines to indicate how you need to score) At bottom center on each finished pattern cut upwards just to center of pattern. That is how you will overlap each piece. Then pinch folds together to create peaks. (Check picture).
Then you glue the two white pieces together they are going to overlap with one piece under the other one on two of the folds. Glue the colored pieces on top the same way.
