Spring Delight

A warm welcome and thank you for coming by to visit my blog and a big thanks to you if you have the time to leave a comment and/or join as a follower.  Please let me know you stopped by, so I can be sure and return the favor.

I am tickled pink to introduce you to my new friends and followers:
Inger of Simply Inger , Zoe T (I don't see a blog for you), Joy of Morning Glory Card Studio, Jac of Alter This & Vanessa B of Vanessa's Paper Creations

Today's design looks complicated at least that is how my husband described it.  I had a lot of the pieces cut and just laying around so I thought I would try to use some of them.  I attached some tools to the Bushel Basket and added the Evershan Branch behind the Madison Park Bench.  I used lots of the Tiny Flowers and the Sizzix Accessory Tool Kit inspired by Susan Tienery Cockburn to form the flowers on the trees and dotted the center with Viva Decor Pink.

For the little girl I had to die cut her in flesh card stock, then in patterned card stock for the dress.  For her hair I used a light brown paper and just die cut her head and then used scissors to create her hair.  For the basket I die cut it again in pink glitter card stock and added the Leafy Sprig behind it and more of the tiny flowers in purple.  Then tucked the clouds behind the tree.

The ducks I just colored their beaks and doted the eyes with Viva Decor Black.

Materials:
Memory Box - Groundskeeper Tools, Digging Up Fun, Evershan Branch, Puffy Clouds & Grand Alder Tree
Poppy Stamps - Madison Park Bench, Bushel Basket & Leafy Sprig
Impression Obsession Tiny Flowers, Girl With Easter Basket & Farm Girl (just ducks)
Not sure what brand the light pink and stripe paper is.
Viva Decor Black Pen (eyes), Gold & Pink
Martha Stewart - Grass Punch
Sizzix Accessory Tool Kit inspired by Susan Tienery Cockburn
Deckle scissors for the lower grass area.

  1. Our cherry tree is starting to be covered with white blossoms, but other trees in our area have lovely pink flowers like the pretty pink blossoms on the tree on your card :-) Your card celebrates Spring beautifully, Diane.

Another if your stunning creations. Wow! lots of work making a beautiful scene, I love it.
Unfortunately our cherry tree is still looking rather forlorn on this miserable rainy day. We have had a beautiful week so maybe just maybe it will start to bloom.

  21. It DOES indeed look very complex, and good for you at finding a way to make something beautiful from all your little snippety bits. Enjoyed reading all the how-to-s, and the little girl must have taken quite a bit of fiddling, but she's amazingly lifelife with her pretty patterned dress. The tree flowers must have taken forever to make & place, and I love the tiny tools in the bucket too. It's just a lovely card with so many different aspects to admire & keep looking back at. Well done! It's the epitome of a spring scene. TFS &Hugs
