Spring Phlox

Happy Friday and thank you for coming by to visit my blog and a big thanks to you if you have the time to leave a comment and/or join as a follower. I want to say I really appreciate all the comments on my last post.  Please let me know you stopped by, so I can be sure and return the favor.

Making flowers are really hard for me, I just have not gotten the hang of it.  I took the Phlox and Norrland flowers and used the Sizzix Accessory tool to shape them.  Next I used the Copics Vermilion and colored a little on the top of the orange petals.  I applied a little clear Wink of Stella to the petals and a drop of Viva Decor - Peridot light green to the centers.  I embossed the Candy Jar and used it as a vase in the center of the design.  To complete the design I added a little mounting tape to the back of the Floral Frame.

Materials:
Memory Box Norrland Flower, Fabulous Phlox & Candy Jar
Poppy Stamps - Dianna Border
Cuttlebug - Kassie's Brocade Embossing Folder (embossed the Candy Jar vase)
Spellbinders - Classic Ovals Large & Floral Ovals
Clear Wink Of Stella (I coated the orange and flower petals)
Copics - Vermilion R08 (to tint the orange petals
Mounting Tape (behind the Floral Frame)
Sizzix Accessory, Tool Kit inspired by Susan Tierney-Cockburn
Viva Decor - Peridot light green

Spring Blossoms

Happy Monday and thank you for coming by to visit my blog and a big thanks to you if you have the time to leave a comment and/or join as a follower. I want to say I really appreciate all the comments on my last post.  Please let me know you stopped by, so I can be sure and return the favor.

I am not very good using the alcohol inks but I wanted to paint the bird several colors.  I die cut the two branches and added some tiny pink flowers then used the Sizzix Accessory tool and pad to shape them and doted the centers with  Viva Decor Yellow. To complete I  then framed the design.  Really easy and quick to create.

Materials:
Impression Obsession - Tiny Flowers
Memory Box - Woodland Branch & Gold Finch
Spellbinders 5 x 7 Matting Basics B

As you can see from my previous posts it is Birthday season, here is another really simple design.  I wanted the circles to look as if they were bursting out of the Apothecary jar.  Kids might like making this design since really all they need to do is punch out circles.

Materials:
Poppy Stamps - Vintage Happy Birthday
Memory Box - Vintage Apothecary Jar
Fiskars - 1/4" circle punch
EK Success -1/2" punch
Assorted Glitter Stock Paper

My motto on this design was keep it simple 10 minutes or less ,  After die cutting the cupcakes I coated the tops with Wink Of Stella to add a little glitter.  Then took the two smallest square dies and used them to frame each cupcake.   I die cut in black card stock the Happy Birthday and then framed the design.

Materials:
Tattered Lace Mini Dies Cupcake
Poppy Stamp - Vintage Happy Birthday
Spellbinders - Classic Squares Large
Wink Of Stella Clear

I had no idea where I was going with this design when I started.  I first die cut the heart in white and then in pink, I liked the pink better so I glued the white behind it and used the lacy inside die for the center.   I added mounting tape to the back of heart.  I embossed another piece of pink card stock and framed it with white card stock. then added the fun corners and framed that in black card stock and finally white.

Materials:
Spellbinders - Lace Hearts
Cuttlebug - Textile Embossing Folder
Cheery Lynn Designs - Lace Corner Deco F
