I broke out the watercolors again.  I finally got around to buying some watercolor paper.  After watching many videos I thought I would try creating a nighttime background scene.  After it was dry I attached the small deer and tree and framed the design.

Still raining, since October 1 2015 until today we have had 42 inches of rain.  We have now set an all time high.  Really I am so looking forward to some dry weather.

I am still playing with my cheap watercolor set, I painted the background using watercolor paper  my set and then die cut the pink and white oval frame and used mounting tape behind the white for a little dimension.  I added the wide tree and tiny pink flowers and dotted them with pink Viva Decor.  Then added the grass, ducks flower and bunny.

Materials:
Spellbinders - Grand Ovals
Poppy Stamps - Leafy Sprig & Bunny Buddies
Memory Box - Peace Doves

The Colors Of Spring

When I made the first flower I thought this would be a fun project for kids to make.  All you do is either punch out or die cut 4 or 5 colors of the same flower and then glue them together.  After the design was done it looked like a retro flower to me.

Materials:
Memory Box Norrland Flower (leaves and stem)
Memory Box Fabulous Phlox (just die cut with 4/5 different card stock colors)
Martha Stewart - Butterfly punch
Pink Rhinestones
Corner Punch

For today's design I wanted to create a silhouette which made creating it really easy.  I punched out the grass and die cut the little girl.  Then framed the design in a square pattern starting with the white card stock which is a 4" X 4" square.  The next pink frame is a 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" square and so forth.

The tiny flower die is my go to flower because it is so easy to use and the flowers always come out great.  I just use the stylus and the pad and press down in the center of each flower to create a little dimension.

Impression Obsession - Tiny Flowers, Girl With Easter Basket & Wide Tree

I recently purchased a cheap set of watercolors and thought I would try something different. I used Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper but I will need to buy some watercolor paper and try it again.  I took the brush and dipped it in water then used the red watercolor and splattered it on the paper.  I used several colors for the butterflies and once the paper dried I die cut them out.  I used mounting tape behind each butterfly and behind the splattered red piece.

Materials:
Watercolor kit
Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper
Poppy Stamps Delaney Butterfly & Cheviot Butterfly
Impression obsession - Easter Joy die
Mounting Tape
Pink rhinestones

Wow we had a strong wind and rain storm yesterday, knocked out power, blew branches everywhere and some folks had trees come down.  Made for a good day to stay indoors and make cards.

The dancing lady die has always been my most favorite because you can use it so many ways.  I used some left over pieces from other designs to create this card.  I die cut the Lady and added a black shirt then attached some Viola Leaves and silver card stock cut outs from the inside parts of the Crisp Bows.  I added a few Tiny flowers and dotted them with Peridot light green.  I attached the Leafy Sprig and more Tiny Flowers.  For her hat it was a left over tiny pumpkin which I dded some Tiny Flowers and the Cardinal.  I punched the grass and tucked some Tulips into it and added the Mountain Landscape to the top.

Materials:
Impression Obsession - Mountain Landscape Layers, Tiny Flowers & Cardinals
Poppy Stamps - Tulip Fanfare,Leafy Sprig, Viola Leaves
Memory Box - Lady Dancing - Crisp Bows & Garden Tools
Martha Stewart - Grass Pinch
