Let's Go Fly A Kite

Greetings everyone, I am so happy Spring is finally here.  Gosh I have not flown a kite in years but I can always remember having trouble getting the kite up in the air and staying there.

Recently I read an article about cleaning out the nests in your birdhouses, so I got up on a ladder to clean the three wooden birdhouses in the hopes birds will use them this year.  I opened the door on the first one and the nesting material is all the way up to the top with a little opening.  You really can not see into the nest, I start to reach up to grab the material and out jumps a Douglas Squirrel.  I almost fell off the ladder I was so surprised, I guess they are using the nest for their babies.  I just shut the door and moved on to the other two boxes.  The article never said other animals use birds nests.

Materials:

Lawn Fawn - Stitched Hillside Borders
Memory Box - Stitched Clouds, Tiny Bow & Tiny Stockings
Mounting Tape (clouds)

I'm not surprised that was a big shock for you with a squirrel popping out the box, well down on keeping hold of the ladder. Debra x

  19. Love your scene. The kite is just like one we had for my daughter when she was little. It spent more time trailing along the ground than it ever did up in the air as I recall. Hugs Mrs A.
