Sweet Shop

Front of Sweet Shop

Inside Sweet Shop

Thanks for all the well wishes on the gum tissue surgery.  The key seems to be to keep ahead  of the headaches and pain.

I decided to create a sweet shop and make the front of the card like you were looking in the window.  I pulled out my old Heartfelt Creations Layered Elegant Swirl die set and couldn't remember how to use the die.  So after finally finding a video I was on my way.  The windows are from the Poppy stamps Madison House set and the top is Impression Obsession Brick House.

For the inside of card  to create the Sweet Shop I used the wheels from the Poppy stamp Rustic Wagon, Grand Flower Box (for the base), then punched a Martha Stewart Cherish punch for the yellow trim.  Next,  I created the candies and cakes and added the Impression Obsession Square House triangle for the top.

Materials:
Heartfelt Creations - Layered Elegant Swirl
Impression Obsession - Square House, Brick House
Memory Box - Swirled Lollipops, Garden pots, Scalloped Cake Stand & Petite Cake
Poppy Stamps - Rustic Wagon, Madison House & Grand Flower Box

  1. What a wonderfully fun card! Not so with your gingival grafting! I am a Retired dental hygienist so I feel your pain. I have not had the surgery but my daughter was subjected to it after her braces. She referred to it as her “ Zombie Gums”. Sorry not funny....now. The good news is you are creating through the discomfort & treatment is worth it.

  6. This is such fun Diane! I love the sweet shop front that opens out to your bright arrangement of sweets and cakes! Have you gone ahead with the surgery now? I can't quite work out if you've had it and are now on pain relief. I hope you're okay. My son went to the dentist to repair his front teeth (which were damaged in an accident and have to be patched up until his jaw grows fully.) They were so brilliant with their safety procedures and did a great job. Vicky x

  19. Super creative & cute! Glad you're recovering as well as can be expected. It's definitely too hot for me! Just thankful it's only 3-4 days & not all summer like much of the country! I'm ready for Fall--no doubt about it!
