Off The Edge Design - Butterflies

Greetings, I just can't believe how fast summer is whizzing along.  Here in the Pacific Northwest we have such short summers and it starts raining by September.

Wow, thanks to my new followers, I am just honored to be added to your viewing.  For everyone that stops by thank you for your time and comments.

So I started off partially die cutting the butterflies, then wasn't really sure where I was going with the design.  So I decided to attach some shiny purple paper behind the back of the butterflies and add flower stalk.  The off the edge design works a lot better if you have a matching stamp to complete the entire image.  Since I don't use stamps I just add a completed die cut onto the partial cut out.

Materials:
Elizabeth Craft - Curvy Leaves
Heartfelt Creations - Small Camellia Carnation
Poppy Stamps - Samirah & Murana Butterfly

  1. Really gorgeous flower dies and in such lovely colours, lovely butterflies too and like the way they hang over the edge, The flowers alone would look fabulous too with a large sentiment in the bottom corner. Great card.

  20. Thanks, Diane for visiting my blog this week and leaving me a sweet comment. I love the beautiful ways you create with these awesome die cuts and punches. Reading your bio was interesting especially the part of having sister who are cardmakers. My sister, Lynn and I were children of parents who created their Christmas cards every year of our lives. They will be making their 71st card this season at the age of 91. Lynn started a rubber stamp collection and used with her students at school. I soon jumped on that wagon, and became a SU demonstrator for a while and Lynn was my second best customer (just behind myself). This is a great craft to share with siblings and one we have enjoyed together for the past 20 years.
