Deer Trio (Memory Box)

It is always fun to find ways to use the Memory Box Deer Trio die, so I created a forest scene for my card today.  I die cut the Scalloped Frame using the Spellbinder Classic Scallop & Standard Circles.
I used mounting tape under the frame and glued the deer, grass, flowers and clouds in the background. I attached the tree to the top of frame and added a couple of small butterflies to the leaves.

Pretty In Purple (Marianne Designs anja Edge)

I have had the Marianne Design Anja Edge die for quite a while but have had trouble coming up with an idea on how to design a card with it.    For the top part of the card I used the Cuttlebug Winter Bundle embossing folder and then die cut the bottom with the Marianne Design Anja Edge die.  Next I used a second piece of scrap white cardstock and the Cuttlebug Polka Dot embossing folder and then punched the bottom part with a Martha Stewart Eyelet lace PATP.   I added some purple cardstock under the Anja Edge to make to stand out and attached the Polka Dot embossed paper under that.  I die cut the following in purple Lace Corner Deco F, Spellbinders Floral ovals and Memory Box Petal Party and Fancy Blossoms.  I also die cut Cheery Lynn Design Fanciful Flourish and Dee’s Distinctively small leaves for inside the oval frame.

To pop up the Purple Floral Oval frame I doubled up on the mounting tape. The flowers are glued in layers and I added a touch of dark glitter in the center.

Simple White (Spellbinders Floral Ovals)

For my Tuesday project I wanted to create an all-white card.  I think the Spellbinders Nestabilities Floral Ovals are so pretty and the intricate details along the borders really create an elegant card.  I ran two ovals through the die cutting machine and then die cut the center out of one of them.  That way I could emboss the back of the card with a Cuttlebug Kassie’s Brocade but the center of the oval would be untouched.  I used mounting tape and attached the two ovals one on top of each other.  Then die cut some Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish and Elizabeth Craft – Dees Distinctively small leaves. The flowers were layers of Memory Box Petal Party.
