Go Fly A Kite

Hello, I hope everyone is doing well.  I believe we are in phase two now with the shelter in place.  Really not sure what they means, except some businesses are starting to open.

Today's design brings me back to my childhood, my sisters and myself spent many summers wheeling each other in a wagon or wheelbarrow around the yard.  Good times.

Materials:
Impression Obsession - Boy with Easter Basket, Snowman Sledding (hat), Girl with Easter Basket & kite.
Poppy Stamps - Large Garden Cart

Recently on our local news there was a story of a women owned Nut Butter (Walnuts, Almonds, Filberts etc) company called (Ground Up Pdx) located in Portland, Oregon.  I liked the idea that they provide employment for women overcoming adversity.  So I ordered the the (4 jar)  4 ounce sampler just to give it a try.  I started with the Cinnamon Snickerdoodle & Coconut Cardamon with chia seeds.   Both are just delicious and they grind the nuts right before they ship out the product. I find myself eating the nut butter right out of the jar.   If anyone is interested in reading about the company the link is below.

Pedal Power Garden Delivery

Greetings, hope you are all still finding things to keep you busy while at home.

Today's design was just a fun take on not driving, but still managing to get places.  I like to try to use my dies in different ways to create a scene.  I took the Bicycle and just cut off the back wheel and used the Grand Flower box as a cart.  Seemed to work find.  Then I assembled the flower pots and shaped the flowers.

Materials:
Impression Obsession - Wheat, Snowman Sledding (hat), Girl with Easter Basket & Tiny Flowers
Memory Box - Brand New Bicycle, Digging Up Fun & Garden Pots
Poppy Stamps - Stitched Umbrellas, Leafy Sprig & Grand Flower Box

Garden Pop-Up Box

Front View

Side View
My first attempt at making a pop-up box design. I made a sample just to understand how to put the pieces together.  They are a lot of work to add a design to every side.   Then there is how do you take a picture to show the box.  I don't think I have every used this many dies in all my years making cards.

I have ordered a couple of different type of face masks to wear now that they are recommending you wear them while out. I can't wait until they arrive.  I have been using my old N95 mask that I have had for years that I use in the garden but I find my glasses keep steaming up when I am wearing it.  The funny thing is when I try to talk to people they have a hard time hearing me, so there that.  I guess if it isn't one thing it is another issue.

Materials:
Heartfelt creations - Small Camellia Carnation
Impression Obsession - Wide tree, Oak Leaves & rake & fence
Lawn Fawn - Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up
Mama Elephant - Framed tags
Memory Box - Grill Masters, Coffee Bean Collection
Poppy Stamps - Leafy Sprig, Sitting Cat, Frenchy, Curbside Mailboxes, Large Garden Cart, Bushel Basket, Evanston Birdhouse & Little Hummingbirds

Butterfly Flight

First, sorry about the picture not sure why it changed direction.  I just love the Grafix Clear-Lay Plastic Film.  It really embosses nicely. Only two dies and one embossing fold used.

Thanks for all the fun comments on my last design.  Well, we are another month of shelter in place, some people are certainly not taking that well. Lots of protests and people yelling about their rights taken away.  My concern with the large crowds is they are just going to spread the virus to more people and then the numbers will go up substantially and we will be back where we started.

We are all in this together even though sometimes it doesn't feel that way.

Materials:
Cuttlebug - Tiffany embossing folder
Memory Box  - Leavenworth Butterfly Trio & Madera Corner
Circle punch for flowers and shaped.

A Bouquet of Springtime

Hello and thank you for all the comments on my previous design.

I added Vellum to the larger flower centers just for a different look.

So my grow shelter/green house blew across the yard last weekend.  We were not home at the time but I am guessing we had a wind storm and the wind pulled up the little stupid screws that came with the shelter.  So my husband used cable ties on the wire that is inside the wooden garden boxes and attached them to the metal frame.  So now we won't be using it as a kite. Ha Ha.

Materials:
Heartfelt Creations - Small Camellia Carnation
Lawn Fawn - Stitched Rectangle Frames
Nuvo Crystal Drops - White
Poppy Stamps - Little Hummingbirds
